MGM National Harbor Celebrates:
Asian American & Pacific
Islander Heritage Month
Client: MGM National Harbor
Project Category: Video Production
Project Overview: MGM National Harbor is a fully-integrated resort that attributes its success to the diversity of its workforce and suppliers. For AAPI Heritage Month, I produced a 3-minute video spotlighting four employees at MGM National Harbor who shared personal reflections on their Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. The video explored why their cultural identity is important to them, how they celebrate it in the workplace, and how MGM National Harbor supports and empowers local AAPI communities.
I led the project from concept to completion, selecting interview participants, defining the interview scope, crafting thoughtful questions, and managing the full production workflow. This included sourcing and coordinating with videographers, overseeing the shoot, and providing creative direction and detailed feedback during post-production. The result was a meaningful and visually compelling piece that highlighted diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.
The video was shared on MGM National Harbor’s LinkedIn and featured during NBC4’s AAPI Heritage Month event, hosted onsite. The event welcomed prominent members of the local AAPI community and organizations, further amplifying the impact and reach of the video.
